Golf : Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods set for last 16 meeting at the WGC

Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods set up a last 16 showdown on the third day of the World Golf Championships at Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas on Friday. Woods came back from 2 down against fellow American Patrick Cantlay to win 4 and 2 and top spot in Group 13 sent him into the knockout phase. McIlroy never trailed against England's Matthew Fitzpatrick and won by the same score. The knockout draw has taken on a distinctly European flavour, with a record eight representatives which also include Justin Rose, Francesco Molinari and Henrik Stenson. The host nation will have four players on the course on Saturday but Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas will not be among them. South African pair Louis Oosthuizen and Branden Grace, Australia's Marc Leishman and Li Haotong of China complete the 16.
