Elina Svitolina rallied from 0-4 down in the first set to beat Mertens. Svitolina won 7-5, 6-3 over Mertens to advance to the semi-finals. Defending champion Svitolina hit 25 winners to 19 for Mertens. Svitolina will next face No. 3 seed Sloane Stephens in the semi-finals
