Football: Quadruple remains on as Man City beat Brighton 1-0 to reach FA Cup final

Manchester City remain on course for an historic quadruple after they beat Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday to reach the FA Cup final. Gabriel Jesus headed in the only goal in the 4th minute of the game. Kyle Walker escaped a red card after a VAR review of a confrontation with Alireza Jahanbakhsh. Brighton had their moments - Anthony Knockaert shot over the bar before the break, and soon after the restart City's Aymeric Laporte cleared the ball over the bar with Glenn Murray poised to hook the ball in. Further chances followed but goalkeepers Ederson and Mathew Ryan were equal to them. City - who have already won the League (Carabao) Cup - stay in contention for the English Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.
