Football : Porto reach Benfica on top of Portuguese Primeira Liga after 2-0 win over Boavista

A first half penalty from Tiquinho and a long-range shot from Otavinho two minutes into the second half gave Porto a 2-0 home victory over Boavista in the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Friday. Tiquinho, who had two shots in quick succession saved by Rafael Bracalli in the 10th minute, broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, converting a penalty that was awarded following Raphael Silva's foul on Yacine Brahimi. Porto thought they had doubled their lead shortly after, but Moussa Marega's goal was rightly disallowed for offside after a VAR review. Two minutes into the second half, though, the home side found the net again - Otavinho beating Bracalli with a right-footed shot from distance. With this result, the 'Dragons' moved level with Benfica at the top of the table on 66 points, but they remain second on goal difference.
