Football: German league in discussions about return of fans next season

Bundesliga CEO Christian Seifert says the clubs are looking at ways to have fans back for the start of next season. Seifert: "If you speak about the possibility of letting fans attend Bundesliga games, another set of concepts are required. Because it’s much more important to take the state of the stadiums into account. I am speaking about the construction of the stadiums, how fans can enter, the size of the stadium. We also need to think about the medical situation and especially the whole situation with a virus on site. So regarding that, we are mostly talking to the government health department. We have been in contact with them for a long time. We have been holding meetings for a longer period now. Because the clubs need to be clear on the plans as soon as possible. It’s the wish of every club I’ve talked with to start the season with fans. And we as the DFL are trying to create the regulations required for that to happen."
