Tennis: Thiem beats Schwartzman to reach Barcelona Open third round

Dominic Thiem reached the third round of the Barcelona Open with a straight sets win against Diego Schwartzman of Argentina. Going into the match, the third seed from Austria edged their head-to-head 3-2. After being awarded a first round bye, Thiem was also playing his first match while Schwartzman - who had come through qualifying - was playing his fourth match in four days. Thiem will play Spaniard Jaume Munar in the third round.
