Tennis: Dominika Cibulkova beats Sloane Stephens to reach the China Open quarter-finals

Sloane Stephens was defeated by Dominika Cibulkova of Slovenia in the round of 16 in Beijing. World number nine Sloane Stephens is out of the China Open after losing to Dominika Cibulkova in the round of 16. It was an unexpected start for the American as she didn't break through until the ninth game - eventually she won the set 6-4. Going into the second set Stephens looked confident but with 80 per cent break points saved in the set, Cibulkova managed to win it 6-2. It was all equal going into the third set but Cibulkova dominated the final set and went on to take the set 6-3 and with it the match.
