Snooker: Wilson knocks out former champ Roberton to reach World Championship semis

Kyren Wilson reached the semi-finals of the World Snooker Championship for a third time in four years after beating 2010 champion Neil Robertson 13-8 on Wednesday. With the match level at 8-8 heading into the final session, Wilson produced a break of 133 in the opening frame to set the tone. An out of sorts Robertson endured a lack of accuracy in his potting, as well as some bad luck, and crashed out of the tournament after losing five frames in succession. Wilson, who was beaten by Ronnie O'Sullivan in last year's final, will continue his hunt for a maiden world title with a semi-final against either 2019 champion Judd Trump or Shaun Murphy, who won the event in 2005.
