Three time champion Mark Williams will face John Higgins in the second round of the World Snooker Championship after a 10-4 victory over debutant Sam Craigie on Wednesday. Debutant Craigie started off well, scoring a break of 74 in frame one before taking the second, however Williams battled back to lead 5-4 at the end of the first session. In the evening session the Welshman was dominant, winning five frames in a row to seal victory. Williams and Scotsman Higgins faced off in the 2018 final, with the Welshman victorious 18-16.
