Cycling: Marco Benfatto wins opening stage of Tour of China

Marco Benfatto won the opening stage of the Tour of China in Chengde, North China. The 31-years old Italian Benfatto from Team Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec took his 11th Tour of China stage trophy in 2:06:21 hours. Dutchman Roy Eefting from Memil pro cycling and Malaysian Mohd Hariff Saleh of Terengganu Inc. TSG cycling team rounded out the podium after the 96-kilometre (60 miles) circuit Stage One. One hundred and thirty riders from 22 teams are taking part in the two-week long event.
