Shooting News: Saurabh Chaudhary adds another feather to his cap

Asian Games and Youth Olympic Games Champion Saurabh Chaudhary, looked in sublime form in the National Trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, winning the first Men’s 10m Air Pistol trial (T1) with a final round score of 248.2, a huge 4.6 points more than the current world record of 243.6 by Ukrainian shooter Oleh Omelchuck. The London and Beijing Games finalist had shot the score in the ISSF World Cup in Munich earlier this year. Since the score is not shot at a world or continental meet, it won’t be considered official by the world shooting body, ISSF. Saurabh also won the Junior men’s event, shooting 245.5 in the final, which is equal to the present junior world record score that he holds.
