Hockey News: India women's hockey team outclass Spain 5-2

The Indian women's hockey team put up a spirited display to stun World Cup bronze medallists Spain 5-2 in its third match of the tour in Spain. An improved attack and tactical defending saw the Indian women's hockey team convincingly beat 2018 World Cup bronze medallists. Young striker from Mizoram Lalremsiami starred in the match with a brace, while Neha Goyal, Navneet Kaur and Rani ensured India remained in the lead after an initial setback in the first quarter. Having lost the opening match 2-3 and drawn the second 1-1, India displayed a stupendous performance with fewer unforced errors to dominate the match. By virtue of this win, India has managed to level the series 1-1. The last match against Spain will be played on January 31.
