Golf News : Disappointment for Anirban at Greenbrier Classic.

It was a disappointing finish for pro India golfer Anirban Lahiri at the Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia as he shot a 6 over 76 in round 4 and finished the tournament at Tied 39th with an overall score of 5 under. It was Kevin Na, who finished first with a score of 19 under and claimed a PGA Tour title after 7 long years. Coming into Round 4, Anirban was Tied 6th at 11 under and looked in contention to claim his first PGA tour victory. Anirban’s performance in the penultimate round was not his best and certainly under par with him bogeying the par 4 second hole and moving to 1 over for the round. He then birdied the fourth hole which moved him to even for the round. From there on, he had a double bogey on the fifth and a bogey on the ninth which moved him to 3 over for the round. It was all downhill for Lahiri as he bogeyed on the 10th, 12th,13th and 18th hole and as a result it moved him to 6 over for the round. This was Anirban’s worst round across all four days which ended up having a massive effect on his standing on the leaderboard with him dropping down 33 spots from Round 3.
