Golf News: American golfer Brooks Koepka becomes World No.1

American Golfer Brooks Koepka rode his power and putting stroke to a comfortable win in South Korea, reaching the top of the Official World Golf Ranking in the process. Koepka has said that becoming the number one ranked golfer is a dream come true. The American who displaced Dustin Johnson for the world's top ranking, shot a final-round 8-under 64 at the CJ Cup to earn the numero uno status. Koepka’s impressive form started at the US Open where he retained the title which he originally won in 2017 at Shinnecock hills and followed it up win at the PGA Championship to take his total haul of majors won to 3. Brooks is the third player this year to reach No. 1 for the first time, joining Justin Rose and Thomas. The last time that happened was in 1997, when Ernie Els, Tom Lehman and Tiger Woods each rose to No. 1.
