Badminton News : Indian challenge ends in BWF World Tour Finals

Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth ended his campaign at the BWF World Tour Finals by losing to NG Ka Long Angus 12-21, 21-18, 21-19. A thrilling encounter between the two shuttlers took place for about 65 minutes. Srikanth registered a comfortable win in the first game but his opponent never looked back as soon as the second game began, defeating the Indian in a neck-to-neck battle. With a loss to Angus, Srikanth lost his third consecutive match in the tournament even after giving a tough battle to his opponents in the previous two matches. When it comes to women’s singles from the Indian side, then it has also been a disappointing run for Rio Olympic Silver medallist PV Sindhu, who got her consolation victory against Pornpawee Chochuwong 21-18, 21-15 and ended her run at the tournament. After losing the previous two battles against Tai Tzu-ying and Ratchanok Intanon, this was Sindhu’s last chance to pocket at least something in her kitty. When it comes to Indian badminton then this is certainly a frightening fettle ahead of the marquee event.
