Tennis: Karolina Pliskova survives four match points to stun Serena Williams

Karolina Plisjova survived four match points in a stunning 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 comeback win over Serena Williams on Wednesday to advance to the Australian Open semifinals. Williams was called for a foot fault up 5-1 and serving at match point in the third, then appeared to injure her ankle during an awkward return of the next point. Three more match points would follow with the seventh-seeded Pliskova fighting off each one while roaring back to win the last six games for the victory. Pliskova will face Naomi Osaka in the semifinals after the fourth-seeded Japanese star advanced by beating No. 6 Elina Svitolina 6-4, 6-1 earlier on Wednesday.
