The Stadium Super Trucks circuit is taking part in the weekend of racing at Mid-Ohio this holiday weekend and they provided some fireworks on Saturday (3 July). According to "The Checkered Flag," during the SST Mid-Ohio Race 1, Bill Hynes turned Bo LeMastus' truck and got out to confront him about the dangerous way he drove during the race - skipping jumps, cutting across the grass and blocking another driver. LeMastus took off his helmet and took a punch from Hynes before throwing his steering wheel at the other driver. Hynes threatened to throw it back but instead bashed LeMastus' helmet against the ground. LeMastus then ran to get a fire extinguisher but was unable to use it on Hynes as officials arrived into intervene. The drivers may cross paths again on Sunday, as the SST Mid-Ohio Race 2 will take place following IndyCar's Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio.
