Andrea Dovizioso held off Marc Marquez to win a thrilling MotoGP season-opener in Qatar. The Italian Ducati rider won in a time of 42 minutes 36.902 seconds, with the reigning world champion just 0.023 back on his Honda - Cal Crutchlow was third. Lorenzo Baldassarri was pushed all the way by Thomas Luthi in Moto2, and won by a margin of 0.026 seconds. And there was another close race in Moto3, with the top 11 separated by less than a second - Kaito Toba sealed victory.
