Golf: Sweden's Oscar Lengden leads after first round of inaugural Shot Clock Masters

The European Tour put its new innovation on show at the Shot Clock Masters. Shot Clock Masters is the first tournament in golf to use a countdown clock on every shot. The first player in each group has just 50 seconds to play any given shot. A one-shot penalty is added if a player takes longer than their allotted time. Not one player in the 120-man field registered a time penalty in first day's play. Oscar Lengden leads by a stroke following a six under par opening round of 66. Peter Hanson, Tapio Pulkkanan, Miguel Angel Jimenez are tied second with a round of 67.
