Football: Rangers beat Aberdeen 4-2 to hold onto second in Scottish Premiership

Rangers held on to beat Aberdeen 4-2 in a Scottish Premiership clash, which saw Colombian Alfredo Morelos score twice before being sent off for the fourth time this season. Morelos opened the scoring before Sam Cosgrove levelled things up, and the Colombian scored again only seven minute later. Two penalties for both side either side of half time from James Tavernier and Cosgrove made the scoreline 3-2. The game turned ugly shortly afterwards as Scott McKenna and Morelos were both given straight reds for their part in a clash on the edge of the Aberdeen penalty area. Substitute Jermain Defoe then netted Rangers' fourth goal deep into stoppage time, ensuring the three points moved Steven Gerrard's team five points clear of third-placed Aberdeen.
