Football News : Salah scores to give Egypt first AFCON win

Egypt star, Mohamed Salah, delivered a scathing critique of how the Egyptian national team has been run in the last decade after Egypt beat Guinea-Bissau 1-0 in their second Group D game at the Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.

"It's tough because we always have new players since like ten years ago. Since ten years ago 2010. We always have new players (coming in). That's really tough for the coach," said Salah, claiming that this quick turnover of players in turn disrupts the consistency in Egypt's performances.

"We have to change our mentality so the players can be consistently (playing) for ten years. They play for the national team for ten or twelve years. It will make the life easier for the coach for us to play for longer. But not every two years new players because it doesn't make sense," he added.

Carlos Queiroz's men moved into second in Group D on three points, with Nigeria topping the group with full points from two wins.
