Football News : Sadio Mane 'keen to remain at Bayern Munich'

Sadio Mane is said to prefer staying at Bayern Munich over returning to the Premier League.

Bayern Munich won the race to recruit the Senegal international last summer, who was eager for a fresh challenge. With 10 goals & 6 assists in the Bundesliga and UCL after missing certain games, his debut season cannot be considered a failure.

Nonetheless, Mane was recently involved in a spat with Leroy Sane in which he hit his teammate in the face. This happened following Manchester City's Champions League defeat and thus speculations about his departure started.

The 31-year-old was subsequently suspended and fined by his club for his actions. However, the former Liverpool player's performances has not improved since his return to the squad.

Thus, in recent weeks, it has been reported that Bayern Munich are willing to sell Mane. The decision is made in order to bankroll a move for a new center-forward ahead of the 2023-24 season.

While Mane is capable of playing there, he lacks the presence of famous forward Robert Lewandowski. However, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano believes Mane is ready to indicate his desire to remain at the Allianz Arena.

Discussions with the necessary parties are claimed to have already taken place in order to find a solution to Mane's future.

Rather than seeking a transfer abroad, it is stated that Mane is motivated to change thoughts of him at Bayern despite having just been there for less than a year.

Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Chelsea have all been mentioned as possible destinations for Mane, while other clubs will be keeping an eye on the issue.

Mane just signed a three-year deal with Bayern, putting the Bundesliga leaders in a position where this summer marks their best chance to recoup a significant cost.

Bayern spent £27.4 million to sign Mane from Liverpool.
