Football News : Sadio Mane included in Senegal 2022 World Cup squad

Despite concerns that he may be forced to withdraw from the World Cup due to injury, Sadio Mane has been included in Senegal's team. The Bayern Munich forward had to leave the Bundesliga matchon Tuesday night's first half due to what was later determined to be a tendon injury.

Even though Julian Nagelsmann said following the game that it wasn't a serious injury, Mane will not be able to represent his nation in Qatar, according to reports in France. The 30-year-old, however, has been named in Aliou Cisse's 26-man squad two days later, leading a talented group of athletes with a wide range of elite experience.

The trio, who all shone when Senegal won the African Cup of Nations at the beginning of the year,includes Mane as well as Edouard Mendy and KalidouKoulibaly of Chelsea.

There are five other players from English football, including IdrissaGueye of Evertonand IsmailaSarr of Watford, both of whom are expected to play significant roles.The list of players from English teams is completed by Nampalys Mendy of Leicester City,

Cheikhou Kouyate of Nottingham Forest, and Pape Sarr of Tottenham Hotspur. Alongside Koulibaly, RB Leipzig's Abdou Diallo and AC Milan's Fode Ballo-Toure will be expected to demonstrate their ability in the backline.

BoulayeDia, Bamba Dieng, and Keita Balde, who play for Salernitana, Marseille, and Spartak Moscow, respectively, each bring their individual strengths in the last third, and Cisse has topped-heavy his offensive options.

The Lions of Teranga were put in a group with Netherlands, Ecuador, and Qatar after narrowly missing the knockout stages four years ago.

On November 21, Senegal will play their first game against the former at Doha.
