Football News: PSG keen on signing Premier League star who can broke the record

Manchester City star forward Erling Braut Haaland is allegedly a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The Norway international joined Pep Guardiola's team in July 2022 after agreeing to a five-year contract.

Haaland has been in excellent scoring form since joining the Citizens, tallying 33 goals in 34 games across all competitions. The Norwegian has scored 27 goals in his 25 Premier League games and now he can break the most goals record.

Haaland's most recent goal came in Saturday's 3-2 victory against Crystal Palace, meaning he is nearing the 34-goal record. The former Borussia Dortmund striker just need 8 more goals in the upcoming 13 PL fixtures.

Haaland successfully converted his penalty kick in the 78th minute to lead his team to a 1-0 victory, temporarily reducing the deficit at the top of the standings to two points.

But, after thrashing Fulham 3-0 on Sunday, Arsenal increased their advantage above Man City to five points.

At the moment, the Manchester City forward is now the Premier League's leading scorer. However, there have been allegations that the 22-year-old reduces Man City's effectiveness as a team.

Sport claims that PSG has identified Haaland as a possible transfer target this summer.
As they strive to bolster their roster in preparation for the 2023-24 season, Haaland will be a perfect fit for the French powerhouse.

The Parc des Princes may be quite busy this summer as a result of the club's Champions League round of 16 defeat.

Despite the fact that all three of PSG's key attackers have their futures up in the air, the report indicates that they are eager to pair Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.

Given that Lionel Messi's contract expires at the end of the current season, a move for Haaland would further raise questions about Neymar's and Messi's own future.

Man City are not anticipated to approve a sale, although there is speculation that PSG may exercise the €200 million (£177 million) release clause for Haaland.

Real Madrid, who wanted to sign Haaland before he moved to the Etihad Stadium last summer, are also showing interest in the player.

Karim Benzema has experienced injury problems this season, and Los Blancos are searching for a long-term replacement.
