Football News : I will definitely not let him go. Rangnick intent on keeping Cavani

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has told Edinson Cavani that he "will definitely not let him go" in the January transfer window, despite rumours surrounding the 34-year-olds future at Old Trafford.

Cavani has been told by Rangnick how 'desperately' the manager wants him to stay, particularly with the added pressure on his squad due to Covid-19.

Rangnick also revealed that he will lose some players in January because he knows some "would want to leave."

Rangnick was talking ahead of his side's EPL match at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.

United are currently sixth in the table after their 3-1 win over Burnley at Old Trafford last Thursday.
