Alphonso Davies hit the back of the net twice and Lucas Cavallini scored an eight minute hat trick as Canada defeated the Cayman Islands 11-0 in a delayed World Cup qualifier. Frank Sturing opened the scoring in the sixth minute before Canada piled on six first half goals including a penalty from Davies. The Bayern Munich star added a second in the 73rd minute to make it 9-0 in between goals from Cavallini. Monday's match had been delayed 24 hours after the Cayman Islands failed to provide COVID-19 test results for their team and staff before Sunday's originally scheduled kick-off. Canada top Group B in the first round of CONCACAF 2022 World Cup qualifying with two wins from as many games.
