Portuguese side Benfica were awarded the 2019 International Champions Cup (ICC) Trophy in Lisbon on Sunday. Executive Chairman of Relevent Sports Charlie Stillitano presented the trophy to Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira and his players. The Primeira Liga outfit were the only club who competed in this year's ICC to win all three of their fixtures - with victories over Mexico's Guadalajara and Italian sides Fiorentina and AC Milan. AC Milan's 2-2 draw with English Premier League side Manchester United on 3rd August confirmed Benfica's status as champions. Adel Taarabt, who scored the only goal of the game in Benfica's win against Milan, said the team's participation in the tournament was a "great experience".
