Cricket: South Africa will need 6 weeks training after lockdown - Smith

South Africa interim Director of Cricket, Graeme Smith, has said that a six week period is needed for South Africa to prepare for Test tours after the lockdown. "The first one for us on the men's side (Test tour) is Sri Lanka, and on the women's side is the West Indie," said Smith. "Getting players ready for tours. Enough bowling, enough cricket skills work with the fitness that is required to be able to perform at this level. That is round about the period that we need to make sure the team is ready to perform," he added. Smith also took the time to praise South Africa captain Quinton de Kock for his efforts since being appointed captain.
