India's status as the world's number one Test team is likely to come under scrutiny over the next seven weeks. India batsman Ajinkya Rahane described taking on England as "a challenge" ahead of the first Test at Edgbaston. India will play five Tests in England - and there are doubts over the ability of their batsmen to adapt to English conditions after their last two visits. In 2011, India were thumped 4-0, two of those Test defeats by an innings, one by 196 runs and the other by a huge 319-run margin.They fared little better on their last tour three years ago when MS Dhoni's side were beaten 3-1, despite leading 1-0 after two Tests.
