Cricket: Khwaja left out from Cricket Australia player contracts

Usman Khwaja, the prime batsman until last year, had produced some great innings in the Ashes 2019, was forgotten by his own board when it mattered the money. The left-handed batsman missed out as Cricket Australia announced twenty names in their player list for 2020-21. Other notable players to miss out on an annual contract are Marcus Stoinis, Shaun Marsh, Pete Handscomb, Marcus Harris and Nathan Coulter-Nile. Notable inclusions in the list are Mitchell Marsh, Ashton Agar, Joe Burns and veteran wicket-keeper cum middle-order batsman Mathew Wade. The players, who have been issued a contract are yet to know their contract amount, as CA is still under process to finalise an agreeable amount to both parties following the financial crisis.
