Tennis: Thiem defeats Khachanov 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 to reach French Open semi-final

Fourth seed Dominic Thiem reached the semi-finals of the French Open for the fourth successive year with a dominant victory over Karen Khachanov. Only Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer can boast a more consistent record here than the Austrian, who has motored into top gear through the tournament and comfortably dispatched Russian Khachanov 6-2 6-4 6-2. Thiem lost in the last four in 2016 and 2017 but reached his first grand slam final here 12 months ago before losing to Nadal.
