Tennis: Stephens beats Svitolina to reach the Rogers Cup final

Sloane Stephens will be looking for some revenge when she takes on Simona Halep in the final of the Rogers Cup. Stephens was beaten by Halep in the French Open final in June, with the Romanian winning at Roland Garros after defeats in 2014 and 2017. The 25-year-old Stephens, herself a Grand Slam winner, who is preparing for the defence of her U.S. Open title, beat the fifth-seeded Elina Svitolina in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.
