Tennis: Shapovalov meltdown during his Lyon Open victory over Humbert

Third seed Denis Shapovalov lost his cool when a point was awarded against him in the fifth game of his Lyon Open second round match against Ugo Humbert. Shapovalov returned a serve from Humbert, but then walked towards where the serve had landed to check whether it had landed in or not - in the meantime, his French opponent hit an overhead smash winner and was awarded the point to move to 40-15 at 2-2 in the first set. Shapovalov was furious as he claimed he signalled his intention to stop play after walking towards the service mark left on the court, but the umpire said he never communicated that clearly to him and so play was still active when Humbert hit his return. The Canadian initially refused to play on, but continued after he spoke with the supervisor and won the match in three sets 2-6, 7-6(3), 6-2.
