Tennis: Round up from day nine of 2018 Wimbledon Championships

Defending champion Roger Federer was defeated by eight-seed Kevin Anderson, who fought back from two sets. The South African recovered to win 2-6 6-7 (5-7) 7-5 6-4 13-11 in four hours and 13 minutes. Novak Djokovic, on the other hand, became a serious Wimbledon title contender as he made his first semi-final since 2015 with a 6-3 3-6 6-2 6-2 win over Kei Nishikori. He will play Spanish second seed Rafael Nadal, who defeated Juan Martin del Potro in a five-set thriller 7-5 6-7 (7-9) 4-6 6-4 6-4.
