Tennis News : Kate Middleton shows off tennis skills as she plays with US Open champ Emma Raducanu

The U.K.'s Duchess of Cambridge impressed professional tennis player Emma Raducanu on Friday as the pair played at the National Tennis Centre in London. "(The) Duchess was hitting the ball extremely well and after we warmed up, she was going straight for it," Raducanu said at the event. Kate also had the opportunity to play against British tennis player Joe Salisbury and British wheelchair players Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewett. Raducanu is back in training after taking some time off following the U.S. Open and is weighing up when to return to the tour, with the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells — one of the biggest events on tour — starting on October 6. Asked by Sky News what causes she would like to promote following her sudden rise to stardom, the 18-year-old said "what I feel very passionately about is getting young kids into sport and giving them the opportunities and the LTA youth campaign is a great place to start." The Duchess of Cambridge is the patron of the Lawn Tennis Association and an avid tennis fan.
