Tennis: Marco Cecchinato beats Guido Pella in straight sets to reach Argentina Open final

Third seed Marco Cecchinato secured his place in the Argentina Open final in Buenos Aires with a straight sets 6-4, 6-2 victory over Guido Pella. Cecchinato beat Pella to win the Croatia Open in 2018, while the world number 18 advanced at this year's Qatar Open after his Argentine opponent withdrew before their round of 16 match. A closely-fought first set went Cecchinato's way, after the Italian secured a pivotal break in game 10. The Argentine struggled to recover from that setback and Cecchinato raced into a 3-0 lead early in the second. The 2018 French Open semi-finalist consolidated that advantage and finished with a third break to complete victory in an hour and 10 minutes. Cecchinato will face fourth seed Diego Schwartzman in Sunday's final, after he beat top seed Dominic Thiem in three sets.
