Tennis: Kostyuk battles back from set down to beat Sorribes Tormo in Abu Dhabi Open

Marta Kostyuk fought back from losing the first set of Monday's Abu Dhabi Open quarter-final against Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-0 to clinch a place in the last four. Ukrainian Kostyuk lost the first seven games of the match only to then win seven in a row, claiming four successive breaks of Sorribes Tormo's serve to level at a set apiece and move ahead 1-0 in the decider. Sorribes Tormo of Spain broke straight back at the start of the third set - the second of six successive service breaks between the two players - but Kostyuk claimed the vital break in the ninth game of the set before serving out a 0-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory. The 18-year-old world number 99 will face Russian Veronika Kudermetova in the semi-finals.
