Tennis: Alexander Zverev beats John Isner to extend Team Europe's lead in Laver Cup

Alexander Zverev gave a huge boost to Team Europe's hopes of retaining the Laver Cup with a stunning comeback victory over John Isner in Saturday's opening singles match in Chicago. The German stretched Europe's lead to 5-1, with 13 points the ultimate target, with a thrilling 3-6, 7-6 (8/6), 10-7 win. Isner had looked on course to earn valuable points for Team World after claiming the first set and fighting his way to a match point at 6-5 in a thrilling second-set tie-break. But world number four Zverev held his nerve to level at a set apiece and then closed out the match tie-breaker with a brave return winner.
