Golf News : Nelly Korda wins KPMG Women's PGA Championship for first major

Nelly Korda won her first major title with victory in the KPMG Women's PGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club on Sunday. The 22-year-old American hit a final round 68, including two eagles, to finish on 19 under par, three shots ahead of compatriot Lizette Salas. With the win, Korda will move to number one in the world. Hyo Joo Kim and Giulia Molinaro tied in third place on 10 under par. The Korda family is proving to have quite a sporting pedigree. Nelly is the daughter of former tennis star Petr Korda, who won the Australian Open tennis title in 1998. Her sister, Jessica, also competed at the Atlanta Athletic Club, finishing tied in fifteenth. Their brother, Sebastian, will be in action at the Wimbledon tennis championships on Monday (28th June).
