Golf News : Castren in contention in second round of the Volunteers of America Classic

Matilda Castren has given herself a strong chance to hold the overnight lead in the second round of the Volunteers of America Classic at the Old American Golf Club in Texas, USA. The Finn started the day at five-under, three shots behind round one leader Jin Young Ko, but hit the ground running, starting on the back nine, with a birdie on 10th. She added another on the 15th, then picked up further shots on the third, fourth and seventh to top the leaderboard at 10-under. Jeongeun Lee6, Emma talley and Jin Young Ko are her closest challengers at eight-under.
