Golf : Dustin Johnson leads after second round of WGC - Mexico Championship

Dustin Johnson carded a four-under-par second round 67 at the WGC-Mexico Championship on Friday to move to 11-under and open a two-shot lead. Johnson, who won this tournament two years ago, carded two birdies apiece on the front and back nines, and the American remains bogey-free after 36 holes. First round leader Rory McIlroy birdied three of his first four holes, but had to settle for a one-under 70. McIlroy finished the day in a share of second place on nine-under with Matt Kuchar, who shot a four-under 67. Sergio Garcia and Tommy Fleetwood are two further shots off the lead in joint fourth place - the latter having started his round with back-to-back eagles. Tiger Woods, who is looking to win the event for an eighth time, sits six shots off the lead on five-under after a round of 66 that included six birdies and a solitary bogey.
