Gold medals for USA's Winger in javelin, Brazil's Zanotelli in equestrian, Chili's Moya and Colombia's Causil in speed skating

Kara Winger of the United States won gold in the women's javelin throw with a mark of 64.92-metre at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. Brazil's Marlon Zanotelli captured a gold medal in the equestrian jumping individual event. Chili's María José Moya and Colombia's Pedro Causil earned gold medals in speed skating. Canada, Mexico, Chili and Uruguay were al gold medals winners in rowing.
