Spain won the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup crown, beating Mexico 2-1 in the final. Striker Claudia Pina struck twice in ten minutes for Spain. Denise Castro reduced the deficit before the half-hour mark for Mexico. Spain won their first world title with a 2-1 victory.
