Alex Morgan stretched her scoring run to three games with a sweetly-struck half-volley that broke the deadlock in Orlando Pride's 2-1 win over Portland Thorne in Florida on Thursday, 26th May. Portland hit the hosts with a sucker punch minutes before the break in the form of a Simone Charley header, but Pride returned the favour on the opposite side of the break. Sydney Leroux pounced on a moment's indecision by Kelli Hubly to score the winner with a sliding tackle.
