Football: New Zealand promise to look after 'treasure' of 2023 Women's World Cup

Johanna Wood of New Zealand Football vows to make the tournament success after the country was chosen as co-host. Wood: "We've always said with this bid that it’s as one, it’s together and it’s about making history and creating opportunities and we are committed to do that as we progress towards 2023. Chris [Nikou] mentioned when he spoke to the council about the gift that we’ve been given. We would say that we’ve been given a 'taonga', a treasure so we will look after the treasure and we will work towards having women’s football even more front and centre on the world stage."
