Football: Napoli come from behind to win 2-1 at Genoa in Serie A

The hosts took the lead on 20 minutes when a deep cross from Romulo was headed home by Christian Kouame. It was 1-0 at the interval. The game was suspended after 58 minutes for a total of 14 minutes when torrential rain forced the players and officials off the pitch. On resumption, Napoli equalised. Allan picked out Insigne and his flick found substitute Fabian Ruiz who had time to drill the ball along the sodden surface and into the net. Goalkeeper Andrei Radu came to Genoa's rescue with a reflex save from a free kick by Insigne in the 67th minute. With four minutes remaining, Napoli secured all three points. Another free kick, this time by Rui, saw Insigne Davide Biraschi turn the ball into his own net. It finished 2-1 to Napoli as they continued to pursue Juventus.
