Football: Lazio survive Genoa fightback to win 4-3 thriller in Serie A

Lazio kept their hopes of a Champions League place alive - and set a new club record of 11 successive home wins - after an extraordinary 4-3 win over Genoa on Sunday. There was no hint of the drama to come after a first half in which the home side led through a Joaquin Correa goal and a penalty from Ciro Immobile. A clumsy own goal by Lazio defender Adam Marusic gave Genoa hope but further goals from Luis Alberto and Correa enabled Lazio to stretch their lead to 4-1. But a penalty from Gianluca Scamacca and then just seconds later a goal from Eldor Shomurodov put Genoa right back in it at 4-3 - though Lazio held on to seal three important points.
