Football: Kilmarnock fight back to beat Rangers 2-1in Scottish Premiership

Kilmarnock fought back from a goal down to beat Rangers 2-1 at Rugby Park on Wednesday and moved above their guests into second place in the Scottish Premiership. Northern Ireland midfielder Jordan Jones, who has a pre-contract agreement to join Rangers in the summer, got the winner in the 66th minute after a stunning solo run from the halfway line. Veteran striker Jermain Defoe, on loan from Bournemouth, opened the scoring just 11 minutes into his debut for Rangers, but the home side drew level midway through the first half after Eamonn Brophy dispossessed Rangers last man Joe Worrall and found a cool finish. Leaders Celtic, who beat St. Mirren at home, stay top on 45 points, one ahead of Kilmarnock. Rangers drop to third, with Aberdeen, who won at Hamilton, now level with Steven Gerrard's side on 42.
