Football: Fans have COVID testing to receive Club World Cup tickets

Fans gathered in Doha on Thursday in preparation for the FIFA Club World Cup. The oldest club-level tournament of the year is the first of many to take place with fans inside the stadium - in fact the games will be taking place at two of the 2022 World Cup stadiums. In light of the exceptional circumstances that the world is witnessing in the face of the pandemic, all measures have been taken to ensure the protection and safety of all participants in the tournament, including fans, players, administrators, and organisers, as the competitions are held amid strict health measures. In compliance with these recommendations, attendance of matches will be restricted to a limited number of fans, at 30% of the capacity of each of the two stadiums, and each has a capacity of 40,000 fans. Fans wishing to obtain match tickets will also have to conduct a rapid Covid-19 examination confirming that they are free of the virus 72 hours before the match or provide evidence that they have received the full dose of the anti-virus vaccine, or they have recovered from infection with Covid-19 after the first of last October.
