Football: Borussia Dortmund lose 2-1 away to Bayer Leverkusen

Moussa Diaby scored one goal and laid on another for Florian Wirtz as Bayer Leverkusen beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 on Tuesday to move up into second place in the German Bundesliga standings. Diaby put Leverkusen ahead in the 14th minute after running on to a through ball from Leon Bailey, but Dortmund levelled midway through the second half when Julian Brandt ended a run of 30 games without a goal by scoring against his former club. Leverkusen reclaimed the lead in the 80th minute though when Diaby played Wirtz into space and the 17-year-old beat Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki from the edge of the penalty area. The first win in five Bundesliga games took Leverkusen to within four points of Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich, who will play their game in hand - away to Augsburg - on Wednesday.
